RO Membrane Cleaning
and Autopsy Reports

Reverse Osmosis membranes require periodic cleaning to extend the useful membrane life, ensure optimal system performance and reduce energy requirements. RO Membranes inevitably encounter scaling and /or fouling due to inorganic, organic, colloidal, and suspended particles and bacteria and other bio-growth.

Routine RO membrane cleaning can reverse the effects of fouling and scaling and restore your membranes to near original performance specifications. Puretec can clean your membranes at your site or bring them to our facility where we have a specialized cleaning skid that offers better results. We bag and palletize the membranes with a preservative before returning them to your facility. In the meantime, we loan membranes for you to use in order to maintain uninterrupted production.

Puretec’s RO cleaning service utilizes different cleaning chemicals that specifically combat the source contaminant that is fouling and/or scaling your membranes. 100% of membranes are pre and post tested after cleaning and a detailed report is provided that summarizes the membrane performance before and after cleaning.

Puretec also offers membrane autopsy services that can pinpoint the exact problem that is causing poor membrane performance and provide detailed recommendations on how to remedy the problem.
